Shoveling Snow off Roofs

While we don't get as much snow as they do out in Colorado (where the above picture was taken) it is important to consider clearing snow from your roof when snowfall starts to accumulate over 6". It is not necessary to completely remove all snow. On a standard residential home, we clear the bottom 4' with a snow rake. This allows the melting snow to properly drain and helps prevent back-ups. On a commercial flat roof we clear around the drain and any lower edge where melting snow will be draining. We then create pathways for the melting snow leading to the drain(s) and/or bottom edge. Contact us if you wish to have us our automatic snow clearing program.
